791 Style

 The 791 style of Three Cone Rock bits is designed for a multitude of drilling applications including: Mining and Mineral Exploration (M), Water Well production (WW), Construction (C), Environmental (E), and a variety of other industrial uses.
The 791 style of Three Cone Rock bits has Center Air circulation. The drilling air is delivered to the bottom of the drill hole through the center of the bit body. Air is also delivered to the bearings, for cooling and lubrication, through a Passage in the bit leg, as shown in the picture. These bits are designed to withstand both radial and axial loading. Radial loads are carried by the Open Bearing structure(see details on page Bearing structures): Friction Ball Friction, Ball Roller, Roller Ball Friction, Roller Ball Friction Roller, Roller Ball Friction Roller Friction. The axial load is distributed over the hard surfaced load areas of the Journal. Rollers and Balls are made of vacuum-arc and electro-slag re-melted steel. The cutting structures of the 791 style of Three Cone Rock bits may have either milled steel teeth, or tungsten carbide inserts.
